This is Alyth's third solo release. The album came about through her love of her home in the Isle of Lewis, the Hebrides, Scotland and her love of Co. Wexford, Ireland, where she has lived for the past ten years, a place she now calls home. Alyth sees herself as an Islander, and she always will, as she originally came from the Outer Hebrides. The album has a common thread; we are all travellers, migrants, emigrants, immigrants. HOMELANDS touches on these themes; love and loss, home and of course emigration.
